My Story

On The 12th October 2012 the lives of our immediate and extended families were changed forever when our Son, Brother, Grandson, Nephew & Cousin - Dex Thistleton tragically passed away at 37.3 weeks gestation. Dex was seemingly perfect and healthy to the eye, and weighed in at a gorgeous 7lb2oz.

An autopsy was conducted however it failed to find a cause of death. Dex's cause of death is still and always will be unknown.

The effects of Stillbirth on families is long lasting and is the cause of detrimental physical, emotional and mental health issues.

Since this day our family has worked towards changing the stigma and taboo of Stillbirth by openly sharing our story on every platform possible.

Our goal is to reduce the amount of instances of Stillbirths. Currently there are 6 babies per day Stillborn in Australia alone. Of those 40% are unexplained and unpreventable.

In order to make our goal achievable we need your help. Any donation great or small will help provide much needed funding into:
- Research to find preventatives and causes
- Educate the general public
- Provide training for medical professionals

On behalf of our son and all other Stillborn babies, Thankyou for taking the time to read our story and helping to save the babies of our future.

Ryan, Cass, Ramani, Dex, Emmerson & Mena xox

Thank You
